I know. The first cancellation was apparently a funeral. Fair enough. The second was apparently... a funeral. Talk about déjà-vu. Maybe I should change my headings more often.
I don't know if it's a sudden outbreak of death or an outbreak of sudden death. But as Steve Wright said the other day (not to me, but I was listening), everyone dies suddenly (OK, he said 'instantly' but who's taking notes).

I'd be worried if I were you. The new mayor seems to be surrounding themselves with people who end up in 'a funeral situation'. . . . . .

Perhaps it's not nice to say, but I'm hoping the mayor IS attending funerals and isn't using death as an excuse not to see you . . . . . .
"Can't make it to work today, my (insert fictional relative's name here) has died . . . . "
