Hooray

Without meaning to be political, congratulations to everyone on the planet.

My next post will mostly be about sausages.

We have celebrated with fireworks.

Oh. No, actually, the fireworks are for Guy Fawkes' night.

Oh, hang on - correct that - the fireworks are to celebrate the fact that the seemingly 2 year long American presidential election campaign is FINALLY over and we will no longer have 24/7 wall-to-wall media coverage about it. . . . .

Let's hope Obama doesn't take a leaf out of the UK politician's book and actually instigates some of the policies he's been elected on. Let the change begin and we'll see if it filters around the rest of the globe . . ..

Jo, I felt the change straight away. It was like the whole planet breathed a sigh of relief. I'll be smiling for a long time yet (even though the pond on the land seems to have dried up in the wet weather - I know).

SBW welcome. Sorry it's taken a while to respond. It's hard to blog when you're off-grid. I'll be looking into the hunting thing - there may be all kinds of insurance needed, and licences. Will let you know. And thanks for adding me to your blog roll. I'll be visiting you as soon as I type this full stop.
